CONCEALED WEAPON LICENSES
Legislation passed in 2014 created a partnership between the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and Florida's tax collectors. The Concealed Weapon Intake System (CWIS) provides an opportunity for you to complete and submit your application or renewal in person at our office on the 2nd floor of the courthouse.
A Streamlined Process
In addition to the convenience, the CWIS streamlines the screening and review process, thereby reducing the time it takes FDACS to issue a license once the electronic package arrives in Tallahassee.
Scheduling an Appointment
All applicants are required to schedule an appointment for any CWIS related service. To request an appointment, call our office at 850-838-3580.
Appointments available Monday - Friday 9am -4 pm
Appointments are required, and are accepted at our courthouse office, 2nd floor, only. When you arrive for your appointment, a Tax Collector employee will direct you to a computer station where you will complete an electronic version of the application form. If you are not familiar with a computer, you may bring someone with you to complete your application. Our staff is not authorized to complete this part of the process. Once you have completed the electronic application, the employee will review your application, take your photograph, electronically scan your fingerprints, process your payment, and submit all documents to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
